Park Prairie Park
Park Prairie Park is on the north
shore of Lake Fayette
approximately 10 miles outside of
La Grange.
A boat ramp, 12 campsites, and
picnic facilities make Park Prarie a
comfortable base for recreation at
Lake Fayette; a 2,000-acre cooling
lake for the Fayette Power Project.
Campsites are tent camping only.
Restrooms are available, but there
are no shower facilities. A
screened shelter (sleeps 4) with
water, electricity, a ceiling fan,
picnic tables, a campfire ring and
grill is part of a group camping area
that will accommodate up to 24
people.
A group camping area and
screened pavilion are available for
reunions and meetings.

14 and $3 for people 65 and over.
There are additional fees for use of

Oak Thicket Park
Cabins at Oak Thicket Park can
accommodate as many as 14
people.
Catch a trophy bass, swim or relax
in a furnished cabin at Oak Thicket
Park. The park on 2,000-acre
Fayette Lake also has RV and tent
campsites, screened shelters, a
large pavilion, picnic facilities,
hiking trails, a sandy beach, a
playground, interpretive nature
exhibit and a boat ramp.
Oak Thicket Park offers eight
cabins. Three types of cabins are
available for park guests.
Efficiencies sleep up to four
people, the two-bedroom cabin will
sleep up to 6 and as many as 14
people can bunk down in each of
the two bunkhouse cabins.
All cabins have heat and A/C, bed
and bath linens, satellite TV, coffee
maker, small refrigerator,
microwave and bathrooms. There
are also picnic tables, grills and
campfire rings outside. The
two-bedroom and bunkhouse
include their own kitchenettes for
cooking indoors.
For campers with RV's, Oak
Thicket Park offers 20 campsites
with water and electric hookups.
Four of these sites have 50 amp
electric hookups for those larger
RV's. For campers without their
own RV, Oak Thicket offers eight
screened shelters with electricity,
water, ceiling fans, picnic table, grill
and fire rings. There are 20
campsites with 30 or 50 amp
electric hookups and water.
